The location was great--just a few minutes walk from train station and right on the ocean. There was a beautiful stoned path to walk along the ocean for 30 minutes.

Spectacular hotel, very special with uninterrupted views, felt very spoilt for the few days we were there.Food was excellent and not overpriced for such quality, service and most importantly view...
Pool small and railing around edge of cliff face should have vertical rails not horizontal rails.

I like the location, the ambience and the look of the Old wing, and the virew from the balcony of the New and the bar and the restaurant.
In fact I thought just about everything was fine. I love the old classic feel to the old wing of the hotel, and the charming decor. the only element i thought was alittle discordant was the decor of the bar - colour scheme was Ok, but the refernce to the Beatles seemed out of place ( even though i was born in Liverpool!) But overall: excellent.

the location was fab, at a short distance from cascais beach. our room was silent and well-designed, included with the balcony and new duvets, as for instance.

The location is perfect! Within walking distance to everything in Cascais as well as being right on the beach! The restaurant overlooks the water and the food is delicious. Sitting on our private balcony watching the waves crash while drinking champagne is the perfect way to end the day.
It could be a little loud at night because we slept with our balcony doors open and there were people on the beach at all hours.

The view from the hotel terraces is superior.
We have received a room that had a superior view over a city but was located next to huge airconditioning units for the hotel and whole shopping mall located on floors below the hotel (literally 10 meters on the same level/ level below). Therefore romantic nights on the tarace where not with city background noise but with quite dominant "pumping" noise of the airconditioning station units. We don't smoke and the fact that next to our terrace was a terrace used by staff to have a cigarette breaks was also a minus. Service was not at the level you expect from the boutique hotel e.g. we were not informed about dinner arrangements.

The room we had city view with balcony was lovely. It was luxury - very comfortable bed and chairs. Superb TV. Bathroom brilliant with soft towels and Molton Brown toiletries. The breakfast was very good - great choice and on the last day we had it on the balcony which was exciting. The staff were very attentive without being pushy.

Particularly good location of the hotel, next to historic and beautiful Cascais, and the cliffs over the beach. Again, not far from a sand beach. Had collection double room with cheap looking furniture, bedroom, watch the sun go down.

Location was excellent, very convenient for the centre and train station View from dining room was lovely, and breakfast could not be surpassed Room was serviced twice daily Reception staff were very helpful Spacious balconies with good furniture Beach towels renewed every day Air conditioning satisfactory Quiet at night for sleeping
Lack of ventilation in the bathroom to eliminate condensation. We reported this on the first evening but got no response Shower fitting unsatisfactory and difficult to operate Dining room staff were not very helpful

Really good service made our stay nice.
We had relentless noise from the street every night. It was intolerable to deal with street cleaning and shouting at 4:30 a.m.! Despite our attempts to change rooms, we were denied and left to suffer another sleepless night. Paying such a high rate for a hotel should mean peace, not constant disruptions!

The location, design and most of the staff were wonderful.
We asked for a late check out the day before departure, which at this hotel is normally at noon, as we had a late flight at 8pm that evening. The (older) lady on the front desk begrudgingly allowed us to remain in the room until 2pm, but not before we had been barged in on at 1pm as I was getting changed and then called at 2pm on the dot and asked bluntly to vacate. We felt that we were being chased from the hotel in a rather tacky fashion once they had our money. For this reason, I cannot recommend this hotel to others if they have a late flight.
